Sr Mary Salem BIsong-PHJC
I belong to the Order of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and joined Pope Francis Center in January, 2025. Jesus’s face is what I see on those I meet each day at PFC and that reminds me of my call of being a Poor Handmaid, a humble servant responding to the needs of time. I’m super grateful to be missioning here.
I am a parishioner at Saint Mary of the Lake and a member of their St. Vincent de Paul Conference. While my time with PFC started off as a volunteer when we first opened, when the position of Hospitality Manager became available, I was asked to fill it and I gladly accepted.
I am also a Sacristan at Saint Mary of the Lake, something I find very rewarding and a true blessing. I have 3 beautiful children, a grandson, 3 step-grandchildren and a rescue dog named Henry. My favorite hobby is painting with watercolors.
